![]() ![]() I feel it's a bit bland and boring, and it could convey the game's mechanics in a better way. Other than that, I just need to finish the last change I've been wanting to made: a new prologue to the game, since I've been feeling dissatisfied with the current start to the game for a while. A few other illustrations have received the same treatment, and new ones have been added. They met in college and have been dating for about three years. I feel this depiction makes the moment much better justice. Main character - Our Red String: Description. It's almost comical how bad the old version of Ian and Lena's first kiss looks compared to the new one. This update took me the longest time to write due to various factors, from the game itself growing much more complex than it was before, to having to juggle many things at once from the day job to testing of the chapter and updating the guide with the Gallery scene. I'm glad that I can present this Chapter 9 Guide for you all to enjoy at last. All the new art is almost completed too, everything has been drawn and colored and I just need to go over what's left to be finalised (lights, shadows, backgrounds and ambient light).Īs you can see in the above image, the graphical quality of the game has been improving quite a lot since the first chapters, and there were some illustrations I had to re-do. Whew I can't believe it's finally finished. Stan's part is done, and also most of what I wanted to revamp. I can't report much without spoiling things, but as you know I've been going over the scripts adding and tweaking stuff. My point it's that if the game it becomes longer with more events or even adding relationships with other characters it's gonna be more complex and probably no 100% satisfactory because probably certain characters will fall off in number of scenes.īut as I just said I understand that it's not easy to make a big interactive visual novel with a lot of branches and characters. I understand that it's hard to make art for every event with every character. But I think that Eva solved that well with GGGB, meaning that she used the same scenes but with different characters, that way you can give more or less the same number of content with all characters. But in my opinion, once you can start a relationship with a character, there must be an important event with this character on succesive chapters, even if that means repeat the scene but changing the characters (and I mean the action scenes). I understand that for certain characters the start of the relationship begins later on the game (maybe there is a development before that, like in the cases of Cindy and Holly for example). Click to expand. One thing I don't like about ORS it's the point that each update/chapter focus on a set of characters leaving behind other characters or in some cases, two updates without new developments for other characters.
